A vg clean copy seldom found in this condition, the text block is heavy and pulls from the binding in many cases. Stanley's expedition through the heart of East Africa to the land of the Nile originally intended as a rescue mission for Emin Pasha although failing in its primary objective Stanley discovered the snowcapped range of Ruwenzori the mountains of the moon. A new lake which he named the Albert Edward Nyanza etc.
