Publisher's orange cloth binding, lettered in red on the spine and with red title panel to the front board, crease mark to the front cover. A good + copy of a scarce title. Faibairn spent over 30 years in the Shanghai Municipal Police where he oversaw the famous Riots Squads and was their Chief Instructor in self-defense" he was also co-designer of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife, instructions for the use of are contained in the book. Walbridge a weapon training officer and well known for his prowess with the rifle, he details the use of the rifle and bayonet. Many of the drawings in the book show combat situations with British soldiers and German soldiers apart from hand-to-hand fighting Fairbairn details the use of the knife.
