132 pages, illustrated with line drawings by "Hary", publisher's orange cloth binding, lettered in red on the spine and with red title panel to the front board. In a vg Dj. Ownership signature of A St. H. Aubrey to the front-end paper, with a photo in card envelope of Aubrey in military uniform he was "Platoon CMDR Sheepbridge WKS. Home Guards" also a loose home guard pamphlet and a newspaper cutting. A very good copy of a scarce title and seldom found in this condition due to the "War Economy Standard" at the time. Faibairn spent over 30 years in the Shanghai Municipal Police where he oversaw the famous Riots Squads and was their Chief Instructor in self-defense" he was also co-designer of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife, instructions for the use of are contained in the book. Walbridge a weapon training officer and well known for his prowess with the rifle, he details the use of the rifle and bayonet. Many of the drawings in the book show combat situations with British soldiers and German soldiers apart from hand-to-hand fighting Fairbairn details the use of the knife.
