1892.  5th.  67 pages 4 pages of adverts 1 being coloured for Curtis and Harvey Medium Ground Gunpowder Canister/ also a b/w illustrated advert for The Improved Cartridge Warmer, sone foxing to the contents. Publishers printed orange card covers title in black to the upper cover showing wear to the head and tail of the spine the covers remain tight. Early editions are quite scarce although there is no publisher listed it was Curtis & Harvey. Riling 1196 gives the first as 1887 and believes this title is an earlier edition of Notes On Shooting by an Expert published by Curtis's and Harvey Ltd. which is much more common than the earlier title. The book details the use of powder and shot, best shot sizes, black powder pressures, influence of wads etc. [23033]
