Pages 67 to 70 show a few closed tears to inner upper blank margin not effecting the images or text. Pages 71/72/ 73 showing more damage but again not effecting text or image. Corresponding loss to rear cover, small 4cm x 2cm loss to lower edge of front cover, the contents remain tight. Although there is some damage and loss an early catalogue with excellent illustrations of the cartridges and bullets, includes the large nitro express bullets. [22498]

Manton's address is 6 Holles Street Cavendish Square London, Gun Maker To His Majesty. Neal and Back in there major work (1967) on the Manton's notes Joseph Manton and Son moved to Holles Street this was their final address 1834 - 1838 in the book they describe and illustrate the trade labels Manton used "The last label used was a small one with on it ,Joseph Manton & Sons 6 Holles Street "etc This label not illustrated and differs to this one in size and having Sons added.
