XVI 340 pages, TEG, 4to., illus by the author and from photographs, light spotting to front closed page edges, a vg+ copy in later not recent 1/2 dark blue morroco binding by Hatchards, gilt ruling to corners and spine edges. Spine with 6 panels, gilt tooling to the raised band spine panels with inner double frame. An attractive copy, armorial bookplate of S.C.Lister, Swinton Park. Millais relates his experiences hunting caribou, various species of deer, national history etc. He notes "In no country have I experienced such enjoyable hunting as in Newfoundland"
