xxvii 257 pages, 3 pages of adverts pages uncut, Illustrated with full page colour plates and b/w illustrations throughout the text by WH Riddell and the author, spotting to the blank ebdpapers. Publishers' green cloth binding vg, the DJ with colour insert to the upper flap showing loss to head of the spine and some edges, thr DJ has been laid down on green paper. Although not a hunting book the volume relates to Chapmans journeys on the Nile and Nubian Dessert and his trip through the Sudan. There are his observations of wild game and numerous references to other hunting books, Riddell's colour plates are particularly fine. Czech 60
