The plates clean and free of foxing. Finely bound by Riviere in a ? red crushed morroco the spine in 6 gilt ruled compartments, all edges gilt. A very good + copy The 1st edition was published in 1838 in Bombay followed by a London edition. The 3rd edition and best edition has 2 additional chapters and the first to have the fine colour plates and rarely found free of foxing. A classic African sporting work giving a detailed picture of the South Africa Game Field prior to the growing pressure of civilization.
