The 1st edition appeared under The Anglers Companion And Guide To The White Horse Fishery Describing The principle Swims, the Best Tackle Methods And Baits And The Haunts For Jack And Pike Circa 1835, all editions are hard to find particularly with the paper wraps. The 3 Simpson copies: the imprint had a pasted slip onto the title page and wrapper for W and T Piper over the J Allen imprint. 1 copy listed at the British library with W and T Piper imprint.
