viii + 163 pages, Large 8vo 16.5 cm x 21 cm, illustrated throughout with full page and text illustrations from photographs. Armorial bookplate of Norman Douglas Simpson to front paste down. Presentation inscription by the authoress on half title to W Brindley, tipped on the rear inner blank a 3-page letter to Brindley from E. N. Buxton regarding the book his daughters and the photographs. Apart from foxing to the prelims the contents are clean and tight. Bound in the original green cloth with gilt title and dessert camp scene to upper board. A very good copy. Written as a series of letters by E.N Buxton's family members who accompanied him on "two delightful (shooting) journeys undertaken in 1893 & 1894". Trekking across the Kitter mountains to hunt Ibex then to the Sinai Peninsula again to hunt Ibex. The author's accompanied there father on several hunts describing the terrain and the outcome of the hunts. they did not hunt themselves. Czech 49/50
