Light rubbing to the head tail of the spines of the Tsavo volume. Both volumes, to the front-end paper has an INSCRIBED PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION FROM J.H. PATTERSON "To Mrs. Cornish with Kind Regards from J.H Patterson" both are dated in the years of first publication. To the front paste down of both volumes a bookplate "ex Libris R. Tomkinson" note below on one "granddaughter of Edith Cornish". A very good inscribed first editions of both of Patterson African titles both of which are becoming hard to find in first edition, and signed copies are rare.
