xii -300 pages, closed tear to the front end paper, 3 pencil inscriptions to the half title, ownership name to upper blank margin of the title page with a note beneath Peards Namer "An old acquaintance". Tipped at the end a contemporary folding map of Ireland showing railway lines etc split to one-fold. Some cracking to front rear gutters a tight copy in the publishers patterned blind stamped cloth rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. . With the advantage of past experience, Peard visited Ireland in 1865 "pausing for a time at the first-class salmon rivers and lakes, arriving at each when in the highest order for angling"
