Summary: 60pp, 12 tipped in illustrations from photographs square 8vo (13.5 x 17.5 cm). Foxing to inner front blank with ownership stamp of Edward Storey. Publishers' pictorial cream paper covered boards, elephant tied to a tree vignette in brown to the upper cover, light dust soiling to the boards, the head of the spine chipped. 1910. Edition limited to 200 copies signed and numbered (156) by the author. Pertwee describes the rounding up of elephant herd in northwestern Ceylon, with note of encounters with few less than happy pachyderms. The photo illustrations are descriptive and detailed. Only one copy located on Worldcat, Czech 160.
