119 (i) pages plus 24 blank ruled leaves entitled 'Fysshe Stories' to rear. Hand-coloured woodcut illustrations by the author throughout pages uncut. Labelled linen pockets to pastedowns for "Baccy, Lynes, Fysshe Tales I believe, Hookes & I's, More Baccy" etc to front, and large linen pocket to rear for "Fysshe Stories I don't believe." Some spotting to the pockets. Vellum spine and corners, gilt-stamped parchment sides with gilt title and fish vignette s to upper board with angling scene to lower board, with the original ties. some darkening to the boards with creasing to spine. 36 songs and poems and posies extracted from the fifth edition of Walton's Angler of (1676). As Coigney 126 limited edition measures 9 5/16 x 6 3/8 which is the size of the large paper edition of 100 copies which is usually numbered to verso of the title page with statement. This copy has light abrasion to the paper of the verso of the title page to lower inner bottom edge possible where limitation was removed?
