All edges gilt patterned end papers, bound in a limp full black leather binding with gilt title within gilt decorative borders to upper cover. Signed on the ? title "From Herbert Curtis July 1907" possible one of a few deluxe editions for presentation. Riling 1196 noted the 8th edition is the first using this title, the preface notes the book has been completely revised since the last edition (1892) bringing in all the new developments, very much a promotional booklet for Curtis's & Harvey. Chapters on testing of smokeless powders, patterns, cartridge loading, aiming at moving objects, the appendix list various tables for loading, shot size etc a very good + copy.
