Original tan cloth with game birds' vignette and title printed in black to the upper board and spine, spine darkened as usual lesser so to the boards. A title where the cloth is often affected by discoloration. The author covers capercaillie, blackgame, grouse and ptarmigan, with notes on the life history and sporting of each bird, (the 1st edition contained colour plates and limited to 550 copies and was a folio edition).
