Summary: 443 pages, AEG, large 4to., illustrated throughout from photographs, some browning to the blank end paper, the contents clean and tight. Original full dark red leather binding with gilt vignette of giraffe and ostriches to the upper board within gilt borders, 3inch crack to upper front edge of the spine, some light rubbing to bottom of the spine and corners. The binding is tight and firm. Also includes 2 trading licenses for 1902 for the Uganda Protectorate issued to H Story also his business card. There is also a document from the British Government noting the death of Trooper B.C. Story in the great war, and a printed note from Buckingham Palace acknowledging his loss. H Story is listed in the book as owner of Naivasha Stores and Rift Valley Hotel and a 1000-acre farm 20 miles from Naivasha there is a full page showing photographs of the Hotel, The Stores and The Farm pencil note below "Father" Although not a hunting title the book gives an in-depth survey of the country and the British attitude. there are some excellent photos including ivory being weighed, the farms and people, the fauna etc., includes a section on game in East Africa by A Blayney Percival.
