Some spotting to prelims, faint crease mark to one plate in vol 2. Bound in the publisher's green cloth with gilt camel caravan vignette to upper boards, rubbing to base of spine of vol. Volume 2 recased with the original spine relayed showing some old loss to head and tail. Baker trained and led a force to crush the slave trade, much of the book involves travel and the military exploits but there are several references to hunting. The author bagged a pair of elephants by using rockets and the company's fieldpiece. Czech 15.
