Summary:
v-469, engraved frontis and half title dated Sept 1810 by J Scott both showing some foxing. The outer blank margin of the last 6 pages of index show a brown tide mark in part, also to inner blank end paper. The rear end paper and paste down also marked more so, possibly glue off setting from the binding? Bound in a contemporary full tan calf with ornate gilt decorated spine compartments, light rubbing to edges. Pages 128-149 omitted as copies of the second edition listed on the Library Hub. Only the British Library list the first edition published by Thomas Simpson and does not give pagination or description. Swift in his Falconry Bibliography 524,01 notes the first, not listed by Schwerdt, Westwood and Satchell list the second edition.
