IV 296 pages, the author's name neatly written in ink to title page in contemporary hand, amorial bookplate to front paste down, publishers green cloth faded on spine and lesser so to boards, light rubbing to head and tail of spine. The 1st edition was printed for private circulation in 1845 and limited to 25 copies. This book is a colloquy between an angler and a painter and occasionally their host, the scene is in Derbyshire in the footsteps of Charles Cotton.
