72 pages, advs, 10 hand coloured plates representing 120 natural and artificial flies, ownership inscription to FEP J.P.Reay, Westwood, Leeds. On rear blank 4 ink drawings of flies to gut well drawn, a vg copy in original green cloth, gilt decoration to upper boards. This edition has a 15 page addendum by John E Miller, Miller states that the 2nd and 3rd editions had a serious fault in the colouring of the flies which he pointed out to the publishers, the result being this edition has a facsimile reproduction of the 1st edition, an important work on the north country fly.
