A very good copy copy, first published in 1696 this is the 12thedition of this treatise, "Gentlemen experienced in, the art, do recommend it as the most practical Book for all young anglers. the first leaf with woodcuts of a crown and fish at head followed by an advertisement beneath for Onesimus Ustonian maker of all sorts of fishing tackle etc.to verso copy of the 1765 act for taking fish. The advert is thought to be the fist mention in print of a multiplier reel "the best sort of Multiplying Brass Winches, both stop and plain". The last page repeats the woodcuts with an advert beneath. Noting Charles Kirby maker of fish- hooks, given Ustonson the rights to make and sell his hooks. WS 184
