xii 72 pages, 16 coloured lithograph plates, 18 tinted autotype including a frontis of Thomas Bewick + 30 woodcuts etc by the author, small folio, some occasional foxing to contents, publishers 1/2 red roan, red cloth board, gilt title to upper board, apart from slight bumping to lower corners the binding is in a vg+ condition. the leather and cloth bright with no wear. A title rarely found in this condition, the leather often suffers from rubbing and dryness. The large paper edition with some exceptionally beautiful coloured plates, there are notes on the life history and sporting benefits of the four species covered capercaillie, black game, grouse and ptarmigan.
