Summary: xvi, 314, (i) + mounted flies, Two volumes small 4to top edge gilt pages uncut to volume one, volume two all edges gilt. Limited to 100copies numbered copies, signed on the title pages, and numbered by Halford to each volume this being number 22. Volume 1 the text volume with subscribers list, 18 wood engraved plates & 10 hand-coloured etched plates of trout flies. Some light spotting to the blank end papers the rest of the contents free of foxing. Volume two all edges gilt contains 100 actual flies in 12 recessed card mounts foxing to the verso of the title page, some occasional spotting to the mounts. The flies all original and in very good condition. Each volume has the advert leaf for the "Halford Priceless" dry fly rod at end. Bound in full green crushed morocco gilt titles to upper boards and spines. Some darkening, the spines light even fading. Light rubbing to head tails of spines and edges, the binding tight with no splits. A very good set in the original state of a classic title.
