DJ has a small piece 2 cm x 1.5 cm missing to lower front edge, a few small chips to edges some faint creasing and rubbing to edges, now in clear removable sleave. Peter Beard records the destruction of African game from the early hunters and settlers to the situation at the time of publication illustrated with Beard's photographs taken in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in the early 1950s to the mid '60s.
