Xxvii -257, [3]. Pages of adverts, pages uncut. Many illustrations in the text by the author and coloured and half-tone plates by W.H.Riddell. Publishers' green cloth some slight bubbling to the cloth in places. With the first issue dust jacket printed in red on a grey background with coloured insert of deer in a woodland scene, later dj are plain and printed in black. A near fine copy and rare in this DJ includes a memoir by George Bolam. Although not a hunting book the volume relates to Chapmans journeys on the Nile and Nubian Dessert and his trip through the Sudan. There are his observations of wild game and numerous references to other hunting books, Riddell's colour plates are particularly fine. Czech 60
