Some light spotting to frontis pieces of both volumes also to the folding map, there is 5cm closed tear to the map, armorial bookplate to front paste down of both volumes. A partly unopened copy bound in the publishers green cloth, gilt lake vignette to upper board of each volume within gilt framed boards. A vg copy of an important work describing the author's discovery of Nile and the Albert N'Yanza and the source of the White Nile, includes much on big game hunting including buffalo and elephant.
