Ink ownership inscription to lower blank margin pages 286 /7 "John Midleton 1765". Some headings trimmed, lacking page 393/394 in the Globe and Earth section. Angling bookplates of J.C.Lynn, oval leather crest plate of Alfred Denniston to front paste down John McKinley plate to free front end paper. Bound in half brown morroco with 6 spine compartments with title and alternating fish and creel tooling within lined borders. A rare title no copy of this edition located in any library worldwide ESTC does note a 1699 but collation and part title differs. ESTC notes 1681 1692 and 1695 and later18th century editions. Westwood and Satchell does not note any copies, (possibly only this edition mentions Angling.) This copy was sold in the Lynn sale at Sotheby's in 1959 lot 161 to Dawson for ?55 with no mention of the page lacking.
